UNOPS: EU4Property Rights; Strengthening property rights means strengthening trust, transparency, and opportunities for development.

On 26 May, 2026 UNOPS participated in the regional conference "From Property to Progress: Digital Transformation and EU Integration of the Western Balkans", held in Tirana. The event brought together representatives of institutions from Albania and across the Western Balkans, European partners and international experts to discuss recent developments, shared challenges and opportunities for regional cooperation in the field of property rights and cadastral modernisation.

Through the European Union-funded EU4Property Rights project, UNOPS works closely with the Albanian State Cadastre Agency to advance reforms aimed at digitalising property data and strengthening the security, transparency and accessibility of property rights. These efforts contribute to creating a more reliable environment for citizens, businesses and investment, while supporting Albania’s path towards EU integration.

The conference also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen partnerships and exchange regional experiences and best practices on digital transformation, property administration and EU standards, reinforcing the importance of continued collaboration across the Western Balkans.
