WHO: Discussion Forum on hospital autonomy in Albania

From September 4 to 6, 2024, the Ministry of Health and WHO organized an important discussion forum on hospital autonomy in Albania. The event brought together health experts and hospital managers to address current challenges and build a new path towards more independent and advanced management of Albanian hospitals. The discussions included international experiences from countries with independent hospital systems and identified specific challenges for Albania. A key element was the introduction of a roadmap for hospital autonomy reform, aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of hospital services in the country.
