EU4Digital Justice: First Steering Committee Meeting

The first Steering Committee meeting of the EU4Digital Justice Project brought together representatives from the General Prosecutor’s Office, Delegation of the European Union to Albania, UNOPS, IT Center and other stakeholders, discussing the progress of the project and the path forward.

The session opened with welcoming remarks by Ms Sabine Kania, UNOPS Head of Office; followed by insightful statements from Mr Olsian Çela, General Prosecutor of Albania, and Ms Cinzia Tarletti, Head of Sector of Good Governance and Rule of Law at the EU Delegation to Albania, highlighting the shared commitment to digital innovation for the rule of law. 

Following the project’s six-month inception phase, the Committee acknowledged achievements, discussed opportunities and challenges, and outlined next steps. 

EU4Digital Justice is a transformative EU-funded initiative that aims to strengthen the rule of law and increase trust in the justice system in Albania through digital transformation.
